Board Election Procedure
The District consolidated its District election cycle with the General election cycle. This will lower costs of future elections and be more convenient for voters by having District elections at the same time as the County General elections. As a result, all directors' terms were extended one year in 2015.
District elections are held every even numbered year in November (2016, 2018, etc). Elections are consolidated with the County General elections. Each Board Member is elected at large, for a 4-year term. Terms are even-numbered year. 3 District terms will expire in 2018.
Candidates for the District Board must be registered voters and must reside within the boundaries of the Montara Water & Sanitary District.
The County Elections Office is the Election Officer for the District and conducts the election. Nomination papers may be obtained from and election questions directed to:
